Interested in how Sculptra compares to its competitors?
With so many various products on the market today, see how Sculptra compares to the competition.

Sculptra last several times longer than the typical dermal filler and it goes much farther in replacing lost volume. This makes Sculptra the most cost effective treatment available today. Leaving natural collagen as the result, Sculptra does not have the artificial feeling as sometimes the case with dermal fillers or implants.

With the treatments consisting mostly of sterile water, Sculptra will commonly result in little or no down time compared to the swelling and bruising of any other treatment. This also contributes to a generally more comfortable treatment experience.

A skilled physician can successfully use Sculptra in treatment of all aspects of aging skin with the sole exception of the lips. Lips are best left to the HA’s such as Juvederm, Restylane or Perlane.

Even when surgical solutions are best indicated, Sculptra still has shown wonderful results in softening the strong lines and angles often resulting from lifts and implants.

Though surgical fat injections may be theoretically the ultimate volume replacement therapy, even the most successful physicians can have unreliable results. Sculptra’s results are consistent, reliable and additive so any initial asymmetries are naturally corrected as treatment progresses.

Sculptra ‘grows’ its results so there is not the instant ‘just been done’ look of the majority of dermal fillers. The slow onset of results during a 6-20 week period appear as magic as if you’ve simply been living better. Only your doctor will know the truth.

Though requiring less attention by the patient then the healing process of surgical solutions, Sculptra still requires a commitment of the patient to vigorously massage the treatment areas several times a day for the first 5 days. This commitment is not necessary with the dermal filler alternatives.

1 HA’s = Hyaluronic Acids such as Juvederm, Restylane, Perlane, VOLUMA, etc.
2 Permanent fillers such as Artefill, silicone, etc.
* collagen grown as a result of treatment lasts about 7 years. However, like more “permanent” treatments such as artefill or surgical solutions such as implants or facelifts, aging continues. Depending on the patient and their genetic markers for aging, it is possible to actually “age-through” any treatment in just a matter of a year or two. The new collagen, or implants are still there and the surgical effects are still in place, but volume loss of fat, old collagen, skeletal and muscular aging/degeneration can overcome good results requiring earlier than expected touch-ups or re-treatments.
** treatment discomfort varies widely from patient to patient.  This scale is intended to give some indication of the 'relative' discomfort inherent in the particular treatment.  Pain management by your particular physician along with your personal disposition can dramatically affect this scale.
*** the ability of a particular treatment to restore a more youthful look is more dependent upon the practitioner than the product used.  Still, there are unique issues associated with each treatment.  Permanent fillers for example can give wonderful results for an extended period of time; however, they can not be removed or significantly modified so they tend to become more and more unnatural looking as a patient “ages-through” their treatment.  Many implants are difficult to keep natural looking during dynamic facial movements although they can be removed or changed when “aged-through”.  Surgical solutions such as facelifts can smooth, lift and contour outer appearances but even the best surgeon is limited to the underlying structure and genetics of the patient.  A facelift does nothing to replace the lost volume of youth and additional volumizing treatments can benefit many patients and often will be more effective than if no lift were done. A person can lose over 20% of skull/bone volume between the age of 40 and 65 plus additional loss of fat and collagen.  "Lifting" the skin and muscles will help smooth wrinkles and minimize 'sagging' skin giving a more "handsome" look but youth is defined by facial volume. This is why a heavy person’s face will typically look more youthful than a slender person of the same age.
**** partial correction is primarily treating a localized symptom such as nasal folds, jowls or sagging skin and wrinkles.  A partial correction is ideally suited toward fillers, limited implant or a partial lift (lifestyle, quick lift, etc.).  Total correction more completely addresses the entire face/skull and maximizes the overall effect whether it be (A)replacing lost volume; (B)reducing skin and muscle area to match the aged skull, collagen and fat; (C)skin resurfacing/rejuvenation to eliminate or reduce long term damage to the skin (wrinkles, fine lines, sun damage, blemishes, spots, etc.)  or a combination of all three(A+B+C).  A total correction attempts to uniformly and completely address the visual effects of aging leaving a more natural, youthful appearance.  In fact, the best results actually create an 'ageless beauty' that combines many of the features of youth while maintaining the subtle features of experience and wisdom.  A beauty that youth aspires to.

"...very pleased with the results. The look is very natural and the onset of the enhancement was very gradual so nobody really noticed I'd "had work" done. Love the look, love the result..."

"...More importantly, the one administering it is a M.D. I do not think I could trust anyone that was not a doctor injecting anything in my face. It took about 2 hours for her to inject the Sculptra. She was awesome about questions and educating me. She wanted to make sure I was comfortable with the procedure. I also like the fact that Med Spa Plus and Dr. C herself are not pushy sales people. She is able to tell you why things are they way they are and why these changes happen and just doesn't hype products to sell you. I choose Sculptra on my own after she explained all options that could work for my face and the results I was hoping to see..." My rating: 5 stars
“Once again you’ve made another positive and medically sound difference in someone’s life.”

“My family doctor commented during a recent visit how much more rested I looked since he last saw me.  Thank you again for reassuring me that it’s never too late to improve your appearance.”
- Dorothy T.

“I have completed 5 treatments with you … I have a few experiences I would like to share.  One night my husband decided we’ll take the kids out for dinner.  I immediately headed for the bedroom to do my makeup.  My husband stopped me and asked where I was going.  I said, “I’m going to put my makeup on.”  He looked dumbfounded.  These next words will ring in my heart forever.  He said … “I didn’t realize you don’t have any makeup on.”  Now that’s huge! … I love what have done and are doing for me.”
